Karena sesungguhnya barangsiapa yang membacanya Surat An-Nur secara istiqamah setiap hari atau setiap malam, maka ia tidak akan melihat keburukan pada ahli keluarganya hingga ia meninggal. Lalu ketika ia meninggal, maka seribu malaikat akan mengikutinya. Mereka berdoa dan memohon ampunan kepada Allah untuknya, hingga ia dimasukkan ke dalam kuburannya.” Tsawabul A’mal 138Keempat, obat segala disampaikan di muka, bahwa ketika seseorang menderita suatu penyakit, selain berusaha dengan pengobatan medis, maka hendaklah ia juga membaca ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an, karena ia juga sebagai obat segala penyakit. Adapun salah satunya adalah Surat An-Nur ayat 16-18. Berikut bacaan ayatnyaوَلَوْلَآ إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ قُلْتُم مَّا يَكُونُ لَنَآ أَن نَّتَكَلَّمَ بِهَٰذَا سُبْحَٰنَكَ هَٰذَا بُهْتَٰنٌ عَظِيمٌ يَعِظُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَن تَعُودُوا۟ لِمِثْلِهِۦٓ أَبَدًا إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَوَيُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ“Dan mengapa kamu tidak berkata, di waktu mendengar berita bohong itu "Sekali-kali tidaklah pantas bagi kita memperkatakan ini, Maha Suci Engkau Ya Tuhan kami, ini adalah dusta yang besar. Allah memperingatkan kamu agar jangan kembali memperbuat yang seperti itu selama-lamanya, jika kamu orang-orang yang beriman. Dan Allah menerangkan ayat-ayat-Nya kepada kamu. Dan Allah Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Bijaksana.” QS. An-Nur ayat 16-18Kelima, doa agar terhindar dari melakukan perbuatan yaitu dengan membaca Surat An-Nur ayat 33-34 setiap selesai mendirikan shalat fardhu. Bacaannya yaituوَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ نِكَاحًا حَتَّىٰ يُغْنِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ ۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبْتَغُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِمَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا ۖ وَءَاتُوهُم مِّن مَّالِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ ۚ وَلَا تُكْرِهُوا۟ فَتَيَٰتِكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْبِغَآءِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَ تَحَصُّنًا لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟ عَرَضَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ وَمَن يُكْرِههُّنَّ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِكْرَٰهِهِنَّ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌوَلَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتٍ مُّبَيِّنَٰتٍ وَمَثَلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ“Dan orang-orang yang tidak mampu kawin hendaklah menjaga kesucian dirinya, sehingga Allah memampukan mereka dengan karunia-Nya. Dan budak-budak yang kamu miliki yang memginginkan perjanjian, hendaklah kamu buat perjanjian dengan mereka, jika kamu mengetahui ada kebaikan pada mereka, dan berikanlah kepada mereka sebahagian dari harta Allah yang dikaruniakan-Nya kepadamu. Dan janganlah kamu paksa budak-budak wanitamu untuk melakukan pelacuran, sedang mereka sendiri mengingini kesucian, karena kamu hendak mencari keuntungan duniawi. Dan barangsiapa yang memaksa mereka, maka sesungguhnya Allah adalah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang kepada mereka sesudah mereka dipaksa itu.” QS. An-Nur ayat 33“Dan sesungguhnya Kami telah menurunkan kepada kamu ayat-ayat yang memberi penerangan, dan contoh-contoh dari orang-orang yang terdahulu sebelum kamu dan pelajaran bagi orang-orang yang bertakwa.” Surat An-Nur ayat 34Keenam, mahabbah, rezeki berkah, dan hajat lainnya dikabulkan oleh AllahSurat An-Nur ayat 35 termasuk ayat serba guna, karena dapat menjadi doa atau wasilah berbagai macam hajat keperluan. Di antaranya yaitu agar dicintai banyak orang, agar memperoleh rezeki yang berkah, dan berbagai macam keperluannya. Adapun bacaannya ayatnya yaituٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ مَثَلُ نُورِهِۦ كَمِشْكَوٰةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ ۖ ٱلْمِصْبَاحُ فِى زُجَاجَةٍ ۖ ٱلزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّىٌّ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٍ مُّبَٰرَكَةٍ زَيْتُونَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِىٓءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌ ۚ نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٍ ۗ يَهْدِى ٱللَّهُ لِنُورِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَيَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْأَمْثَٰلَ لِلنَّاسِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ“Allah Pemberi cahaya kepada langit dan bumi. Perumpamaan cahaya Allah, adalah seperti sebuah lubang yang tak tembus, yang di dalamnya ada pelita besar. Pelita itu di dalam kaca dan kaca itu seakan-akan bintang yang bercahaya seperti mutiara, yang dinyalakan dengan minyak dari pohon yang berkahnya, yaitu pohon zaitun yang tumbuh tidak di sebelah timur sesuatu dan tidak pula di sebelah baratnya, yang minyaknya saja hampir-hampir menerangi, walaupun tidak disentuh api. Cahaya di atas cahaya berlapis-lapis, Allah membimbing kepada cahaya-Nya siapa yang dia kehendaki, dan Allah memperbuat perumpamaan-perumpamaan bagi manusia, dan Allah Maha Mengetahui segala sesuatu.” QS. An-Nur ayat 35Ketujuh, doa agar terselamat dari perbuatan zalim dan serangan binatang yang ingin terhindar dari berbuat zalim dan kezaliman seseorang, serta terhindar dari binatang buas, maka hendaknya ia membaca Surat An-Nur ayat 40. Berikut bacaan ayatnyaأَوْ كَظُلُمَٰتٍ فِى بَحْرٍ لُّجِّىٍّ يَغْشَىٰهُ مَوْجٌ مِّن فَوْقِهِۦ مَوْجٌ مِّن فَوْقِهِۦ سَحَابٌ ۚ ظُلُمَٰتٌۢ بَعْضُهَا فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ إِذَآ أَخْرَجَ يَدَهُۥ لَمْ يَكَدْ يَرَىٰهَا ۗ وَمَن لَّمْ يَجْعَلِ ٱللَّهُ لَهُۥ نُورًا فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن نُّورٍ"Atau seperti gelap gulita di lautan yang dalam, yang diliputi oleh ombak, yang di atasnya ombak pula, di atasnya lagi awan; gelap gulita yang tindih-bertindih, apabila dia mengeluarkan tangannya, tiadalah dia dapat melihatnya, dan barangsiapa yang tiada diberi cahaya petunjuk oleh Allah tiadalah dia mempunyai cahaya sedikit pun." QS. An-Nur 40 ۞ اَللّٰهُ نُوْرُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ مَثَلُ نُوْرِهٖ كَمِشْكٰوةٍ فِيْهَا مِصْبَاحٌۗ اَلْمِصْبَاحُ فِيْ زُجَاجَةٍۗ اَلزُّجَاجَةُ كَاَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ يُّوْقَدُ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ مُّبٰرَكَةٍ زَيْتُوْنَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَّلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍۙ يَّكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِيْۤءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌۗ نُوْرٌ عَلٰى نُوْرٍۗ يَهْدِى اللّٰهُ لِنُوْرِهٖ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُۗ وَيَضْرِبُ اللّٰهُ الْاَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِۗ وَاللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ ۙTerjemahanAllah pemberi cahaya kepada langit dan bumi. Perumpamaan cahaya-Nya, seperti sebuah lubang yang tidak tembus, yang di dalamnya ada pelita besar. Pelita itu di dalam tabung kaca dan tabung kaca itu bagaikan bintang yang berkilauan, yang dinyalakan dengan minyak dari pohon yang diberkahi, yaitu pohon zaitun yang tumbuh tidak di timur dan tidak pula di barat, yang minyaknya saja hampir-hampir menerangi, walaupun tidak disentuh api. Cahaya di atas cahaya berlapis-lapis, Allah memberi petunjuk kepada cahaya-Nya bagi orang yang Dia kehendaki, dan Allah membuat perumpamaan-perumpamaan bagi manusia. Dan Allah Maha Mengetahui segala sesuatu.
